Handloom Centre

   A Handloom Centre has been established at Lakhipur College, Lakhipur, under the Ujjiwani initiative of the Entrepreneurship Cell. The initiative aims to acquaint students with the rich handloom heritage of Northeast India and provide them with practical skills in traditional weaving.

Handloom is an integral part of the region’s cultural identity and offers significant opportunities for livelihood and entrepreneurship. The Centre seeks to preserve this traditional craft while empowering students with skills that can promote self-employment, entrepreneurship, and self-reliance.
