i. Brief History of the Department: The College was established in 1981 with 7 departments including History. UG B.A history (Honours) was introduced in 1996 with 6 students. Dr. Asraful Nessa was appointed as the first HoD in the department of History. The department has a record of good progression that reflects the good results of the students.
